G Ashok reveals why Bhumi didn't impact audience in Durgamati
Bhumi Pednekar starrer Durgamati is undoubtedly a remake of the Telugu motion picture Bhaagamathie and couldn't impress the crowd regardless of the substantial buzz around it. Filmmaker G. Ashok offers shared the reason why he feels his Bollywood debut film "Durgamati" didn't do together with its original Telugu release "Bhaagamathie", which was also directed by him. He feels the film didn't do well because the Hindi type wen dirtly to OTT and didn't have a theatrical launch.
"Theatrical release," Ashok cites as cause while talking to IANS when we ask him why "Durgamati" fared below expectaions. He contributes "Because of unprecedented times, we however couldn't release the film in theatres. Durgamati's durability is its horror factor, and horror is merely enjoyed with good audio in dark rooms like in theatres."

Speaking about his camaraderie with Bhumi, director Ashok explained "For the lead identity in the film, I sought a performer who could draw the express alone. Bhumi is well known for the assortment that she earns her people, and the movies that she owns. She needed to be the perfect decision for 'Durgamati'. Bhumi is similar to my sister in Bollywood."
"It was much easier for me to utilize her upon this project, and I still believe that her versatility can't be weighed against any other feminine actor because Bhumi is a risk-taker. She is available to experimental roles. We've seen her coming up with a surprise," he said.
Ashok also spoke about his upcoming work in Bollywood. He says the Hindi film market is preferable to Tollywood. "I have definitely admired the Bollywood film industry and sensed that it has persons with utmost commitment and passion to function. I would definitely say Bollywood is preferable to Tollywood. It has self-discipline. I am definitely looking forward to creating a lot more Bollywood films. Actually, I am already focusing on three projects, which will be announced soon," he concluded.
