Forwards lose their shooting boots
National forwards Mahbubur Rahman Sufil shot extensive from the most notable of the box just after an instant one-two but left-back Rahmat Mia done clinically to spark celebrations at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

It had been not against the background of a competitive or practice match. It had been instead an exercise session for the national football group players, who had been tasked with shooting past dummies.

However, the training had not been all too nice for goalkeeping coach Les Cleevely.

The bulky coach even had to show to national forwards how exactly to play an ideal forward pass for strikers around the danger zone, akin to a training session for budding players at a tender age.

Whereas forwards Sufil, Mehedi Hasan Royal, Suman Reza and midfielders like  Sohel Rana and Mohammad Abdullah could not keep their pictures on the target, defenders like Rahmat, Kazi Tariq Raihan and Riyadul Hasan Rafi proved even more accurate and finished smartly in the drill.

Bangladesh know they need to score some goals on the World Cup Qualifying suits against Afghanistan and India if indeed they, as mind coach Jamie Day needs, are to get some points. In match conditions, obviously forwards have to do the task up front.

"The complements in Qatar will be tough. It isn't practical to win if someone gives only fifty %. We all need to give hundred % if we want to gain," captain Jamal Bhuiyan informed reporters after sweating it out for practically two-and-a-half hours.

Asked how they could get fits when forwards could not hit the target, win the matches where the forwards could Jamal explained: "I have no idea about others but I shot on target 4 times away of five pictures. We won't get tips if we can not score goals."

Goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico believes Afghanistan and India are before Bangladesh but was confident to do something great as Bangladesh have knowledge against them.

"They are ahead of us but most of us here happen to be the very best performers of the league. I hope many people are suit and confident because we will be talking about among ourselves and I felt everyone really wants to do something in the three complements," said Zico. "We enjoyed against them before. We shed 0-1 to Afghanistan and drew 1-1 with India. We more or less have a good idea about their players and we'll get more information in the coming times."

While Jamal Bhuiyan wants to judge the strong and disadvantages of his part by performing two practice matches before the primary competition, the Bangladesh Football Federation has but to confirm the time of departure for Qatar along with dates for the practice fits. India are likely to reach Doha today to avail the features in Qatar before practice matches.
