Former state minister AKM Mosharraf dies of COVID-19
Former state minister and BNP chairperson's advisor AKM Mosharraf Hossain died of COVID-19 infection at a private hospital in the capital Saturday night. He was 83.

"Mosharraf Hossain breathed his last at about 8:30 pm while undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection," said the BNP chairperson's press wing member Shayrul Kabir Khan.

The BNP leader left out two sons to mourn his death.

A former secretary for industry affairs and a former state minister for power, energy, and mineral resources, Mosharraf Hossain was an elected lawmaker twice with BNP nomination.

He was a former president of the Mymensingh south district unit of BNP.
