FM Qureshi leaves for 2-day check out to Egypt
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi kept for a two-day visit to Egypt on Tuesday, the Foreign Office said on a statement. Qureshi is visiting Cairo on the invitation of Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Radio Pak said. During his check out, FM Qureshi will carry "complete consultations" with Shoukry. Both officials may also discuss bilateral relations and methods to "further more strengthen and diversify" them.
Qureshi and Shoukry can hold a good joint press conference aswell.The foreign minister may also hold meetings with the Pakistani community in Egypt as well as with Egyptian businessmen. In his meeting with the latter, Qureshi will talk about investment opportunities in Pakistan and the incentives proposed by the federal government for foreign traders.The foreign minister will also speak to local and international media.
Before departing for Cairo, Foreign Minister Qureshi said in a video message that Egypt can be an "important country of the Muslim ummah which is also referred to as Africa's gateway"."Advertising of trade with African countries is among our government's important priorities," he stated. The incumbent authorities has, on many events, expressed its desire to enrich fiscal relations with countries in Africa by discovering its marketplaces and increasing monetary diplomacy.
The visit to Cairo is also meant to "promote" relations with "this important country", he said, adding there are many opportunities to promote monetary cooperation with Egypt.A good go to to the prestigious Jamia Al Azhar is also amongst his ideas, said Qureshi. The minister explained that the federal government hopes to benefit in the training sector by learning from the institute's experiences.
