Film stars to take pay cuts to greatly help industry
The Film industry of Bangladesh is going through an immense financial meltdown, just like any other industry, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Many cinema halls have already been closed going back three months. Shootings were on hold for over 8 weeks. 

Finally, the film industry resumed work from June 5. However, many celebrities are afraid to come on sets. No latest film has been released as of yet. 

Various actors are taking several initiatives to regenerate the film industry. So as to discover a solution and deal with the financial reduction amid the Covid-19 crisis, film actors decided to take pay out cuts. Film actors have also called on manufacturers to keep making movies, even on a limited level and on a restricted price range. Superstar Shakib Khan was the first of all actor to announce accepting a shell out cut to greatly help the film market deal with losses. 

The actor informed the media that he's willing to take 1 / 3 of his usual remuneration. Shakib Khan employed to have Tk60 lakh for each film, and in the current circumstances the actor will sign up for movies at Tk20 lakh. Many actors are pursuing his footsteps.  Popular actor MahiyaMahi informed The Business Standard that she would accept a pay trim.

Even so, she hasn't disclosed the amount. Before, she applied to get Tk8 to 10lakh as remuneration per film. 

Actor BappyChowdhury also really wants to support the industry in various ways. Besides going for a pay out cut, the actor needs help with other expenses, including costumes. The list of actors who are willing take spend cuts contains Misa Sawdagar, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, Nusraat Faria Mazhar, Puja Cherry Roy, Zayed Khan, among others. Producers have valued the actors' decisions.  Among the producers who didn't desire to reveal his brand said,"Not only actors' pay, we will be in need of help in many methods to deal with this crisis. Normally it would be close to impossible to recuperate the losses."

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Film Manufacturers' Association claimed the sector faced a financial lack of Tk300 crore just as shootings were halted due to the ongoing pandemic. The film makers also believe the sector should give attention to making new movies to overcome the crisis.
