Ferry services suspended about 3 routes because of dense fog
Ferry services about Paturia-Daulatdia, Banglabazar-Shimulia and Chandpur-Shariatpur routes have been suspended because of dense fog.
The ferry and release support through the Paturia-Daulatdia path was closed since 9:45 pm on Tuesday because of poor visibility due to dense fog.
Zillur Rahman, Bangladesh Inland Normal water Transport Corporation's (BIWTC) DGM of Aricha Ghat, said as a result of dense fog, ferry services have already been halted since Tuesday nighttime.
If the fog disappears, the ferry service will resume.
He also added that above three hundred vehicles have already been stranded on two sides of the Padma River.
