Feni village gets new school building after texting PM Hasina
DHAKA: The residents of Ratanpur village under Feni sadar thana are getting a new building for a school in the locality after a message sent to the Prime Minister regarding this.

Necessary allotment has been made already for constructing a multi-storey building of five classrooms for Ratanpur Government Primary School in Feni sadar thana, following a SMS received from a expatriate Bangladeshi in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon told Banglanews Saturday (June 30).

One Bangladeshi expatriate in Saudi Arabia Anwar Hossain sent an SMS to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on June 22, said Ashraful.

“He (Anwar Hossain) sent the school code to the prime minister where he stated that the school is set up on the land of one Afzalur Rahman, a freedom fighter. But, the lack of necessary classrooms is hampering the study of the students. The villagers demanded to construct a school building”

At early hours of that day, the prime minister directed her personal secretary Tofazzal Hossain Mia to take necessary steps regarding this, added Ashraful.

Immediately, Tofazzal Hossain forwarded the PM’s direction to the ministry concerned.

On Saturday afternoon, the approval to construct a building for Ratanpur Govt Primary School was finalized, as per the Prime Minister’s direction.

However, the building can be made multi-storeyed gradually. And the construction work will begin soon, said sources from Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
