Everything appears to be new but desire to adjust soon
Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque said everything appeared to be 'new' as the left-hander finished his first individual practice session since the coronavirus enforced break at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.
The left-hander however hoped to adapt and make contact with the rhythm soon.
"Everything seems to be new after so very long. I think it will require some time to adjust. Maybe it will require 2-3 or 4-5 days to adjust. Hope to modify with everything soon," said Mominul after today's practice session.
Following the successful completion of the first phase of individual practice sessions last month, the second phase of individual practice sessions began today with an elevated number of cricketers across different BCB-run facilities in the united states. Mominul, who didn't practise through the first-phase, joined today and completed gym, running and indoor batting sessions in Mirpur.
Bangladesh were actually scheduled to play a three-Test series in Sri Lanka in July-August prior to the series was postponed. Apart from the three-match Test series, Bangladesh are now also more likely to play a T20I series throughout their possible upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. Mominul hoped to get ready well for his or her potential Sri Lanka tour.
"I have been from cricket for 4-5 months and I missed the overall game a lot during this time. Teams like England, West Indies and others are time for cricket and I miss this game more seeing them play. But we too want to make contact with cricket. There exists a possible Test series before us and I am hoping that we can prepare well for that," concluded Mominul.
