England U-19 Team in Cox’s Bazar for Bangladesh series
The England Under-19 Cricket team arrived in Bangladesh on Sunday noon on a month-long tour to Bangladesh to play one Youth T20I and three-match Youth ODI series against the Bangladesh Under -19 team in Cox’s Bazar.
After reaching Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12 noon, the young English crickets left for Cox’s Bazar in the afternoon.
The touring England Youth team will also play two-match four-day Youth Test series against their Bangladesh counterparts in Chattogram.
A 15-member Bangladesh U-19 team, led by right-handed batsman-cum-wicketkeeper Akbar Ali, are already in Cox’s Bazar for their home series against touring England.
Visiting English Youth team will start their Bangladesh campaign with lone Youth T20 International on January 27 at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar after a warm-up match at the Academy ground there on January 25.
The three-match Youth ODI series will be held on January 29, 31 and February 2, all at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium.
Then the tourist team will travel to Chattogram on February 4 to play two four-day Youth Test matches on February 7-10 and 15-18, both at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, before their departure on February 19.
