Emirates announces retirement of President Tim Clark
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates is to retire this year in June.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates made this announcement in an internal memo, according to a spokesperson for the carrier.

Sir Clark, who was promoted to President in 2003, will remain an Advisor.

According to sources, candidates for his replacement include Adel Al Redha, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates and Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive of the airline’s sister concern Flydubai.

Joining the airline’s founding team in 1985 from Bahrain-based Gulf Air, the 70-year-old has played a pivotal role in its transformation into a global giant of the industry.
