Ekushey Book Fair 2021 to go virtual
Another Amar Ekushey Book Fair will be organised nearly to avoid the transmission of coronavirus as the united states prepares to tackle a possible second wave of Covid-19.
Book fair committee’s member secretary Dr Jalal Ahmed said the original fair, organised yearly by the Bangla Academy in February, wouldn't normally take place following year, reports UNB.
Many events have already been called off or held nearly this season amid the coronavirus pandemic which struck the united states in March this season.
The government has been repeatedly urging the people to follow health guidelines and avoid mass gatherings.

Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
The country has up to now recorded 487,849 cases with 6,986 fatalities with a mortality rate of just one 1.43 percent.
