EC to meet President on November 1
Election Commission (EC) is set to meet President Abdul Hamid to get his consent about announcement of schedule for 11th parliamentary election.
The president's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told Banglanews that the appointment has been scheduled for 4:00pm on November 1.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda will be accompanied by election commissioner and EC Secretary.
EC Secretary Helaluddin Ahmad said: “Officially, appointment time has not found yet on that matter. If found time, we will take consent during the meeting. Another commission meeting will be held to announce the schedule. The EC will finalize the election schedule then.”
Recently, Helaluddin Ahmad said election schedule will be announced in the 1st week of November.
EC takes President’s consent before every parliamentary election.
