DU student found dead in Shitalakshya River
RUPGANJ (NARAYANGANJ): Police recovered the body of a Dhaka University student from Shitalakshya river in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj on Monday noon (January 22).
The deceased was identified as Parvez Ahmed joy, 25, son of one Joynal Abedin, hailed from Boralu area of the upazila. He was a second year student of DU Political Science Department.
Rupganj police station Sub-inspector (SI) Nuruzzaman said Joy went outside of home on Sunday evening and did not return since. Later on Monday noon, locals found a floating body in Shitalakshya river and informed police. The body was sent to Narayanganj sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
