‘Drug dealer’ killed in Rajshahi ‘shootout’
A suspected drug dealer was killed in a reported shootout with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Nabaganga area under Kashiadanga thana of Rajshahi Saturday night (July 28).
The deceased couldn’t be identified immediately.
Huge drugs, arms and bullets were recovered from the spot.
RAB-5 Rajshahi Deputy Commander Maj AM Ashraful Islam told Banglanews that they conducted an anti-narcotics drive in Nabaganga area on secret of information of drug dealing at the night.
Sensing presence of the law enforcers, the drug dealers opened fire at them.
RAB fired back, in retaliation.
At one stage, a drug dealer was found dead.
