Draft of Road Transport Act okayed with highest 5-yr jail
The cabinet on Monday (August 6) approved the Road Transport Act-2018, keeping a provision of five years’ jail and Tk 5 lakh fine as highest punishment.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting, at the secretariat.
As the meeting ended, a minister disclosed the matter to media.
The new law will be placed at the parliament session for finalization.
