Dove, Thomas split after internet dating four years
Dove Cameron and Thomas Doherty, who have dated for practically four years, have finally parted ways. The two commenced dating in 2016 starring in the Disney Channel movie Descendants 2. Dove and the Scottish actor played out the purpose of Mal and Harry, respectively, in the 2017 film and its 2019 followup, Descendants 3.
The 25-year-old actress took to Instagram to announce their split up. On her behalf Instagram story on Friday, she wrote, "Hi all, we realize there were some rumors and confusion recently about the position of our marriage and we wished to established the record right, In October, Thomas and I made a decision to part ways. The decision was incredibly difficult, but we still have a take pleasure in for each other, and can remain friends."
Dove Cameron shared her last image with Thomas Doherty on April 21, that was the latter's birthday. Posting a number of pictures on the photo-posting app, she wrote about he was "the very best human being to ever be created. The purest heart and the softest soul. i'll love you permanently."Thomas Doherty, alternatively, shared his last post with the Disney Channel star on his Instagram is from August of 2019.
The Descendants stars' split up comes as shocking to fans because the two appeared to gush over one another during an interview ET this past year. During the chat, Cameron experienced said that she possessed watched the clip, where Doherty was found gushing over his girlfriend and stating his girlfriend was "the most outstanding person I've ever before met."
The actress said that the moment made her teary-eyed and said, "I cry, like, each day when I'm with him because… he's just the most pure, loving, selfless, generous, kind [person]. His life is about the persons that he loves and I feel therefore lucky to be treasured by someone like that."
