Doctor leaves hospital in Meherpur fearing coronavirus
An assistant civil surgeon has left Meherpur's Gangni Upazila Health Complex fearing coronavirus.
Upazila Health insurance and Family Planning officer Dr Mohammad Riazul Alam confirmed the problem on Sunday morning.
He said assistant civil surgeon Dr Amiruzzaman Mohammad Samsul Arefin has been absent for last four days.
Contacting with Dr Arefin over phone he said, "I bound to leave hospital to save lots of lives of me and my children members. I've aysma problem which is very much indeed risky for coronavirus. I have already been in home quarantine since my return. But I am now fine. I'll leave job if needed."
The Upazila Health Complex medical officer Dr MK Reza said over the problem that the government has cancelled doctors's leaves as the united states is facing corona crisis. To save the lives of patients beside his/her family may be the foremost duty of a health care provider.
