Disagreement over namaj-e-janaza of Allama Shafi
Hefazat-e Islam ameer and former Director Basic of Hathazari Madrasa Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi getting taken to Faridabad Madrasa on Fri night following his death at Asgar Ali Medical center at Gendaria in Dhaka at night.
A strong disagreement arose between your family members and followers over keeping several namaj-e-janaza of Hefazat-e Islam ameer Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi about Friday night.
After his body was taken up to Faridabad Madrasa at Gandaria by a convoy of ambulances from Asgar Ali Hospital in the administrative centre at about 10:30pm on Friday, a group of people, claimed themselves as the followers of Allama Shafi, demanded holding a namaj-e-janaza there.
They asserted that they were the followers of late Allama Shafi. "We've been like a family group throughout our complete lives. He arrived at Faridabad Madrasa often and stayed here times after days. We had an emotional romantic relationship with him. So, it's our to maintain a namaj-e-janaza of him at Faridabad Madrasa," among the madrasa teachers said.
"We've no objection to take the body of Allama Shafi to Hathazari Madrasa and bury him there. But, before that we want to hold a namaj-e-janaza of him within Dhaka," he said.
In addition they sought permission to hold the namaj-e-janaza drawing the attention of the federal government.
However, past due Ahmad Shafi's son Moulana Anas Madani before said you will have only an individual namaj-e-janaza of his father following a Zohr prayers in Saturday following the arrival of the body at Hathazari Madrasa premises from Dhaka.
Anas Madani, who has merely been expelled from Hathazari Madrasa, said his father advocated for a single janaza throughout his lifestyle, because Quran and Hadith support holding only one janaza of a Muslim. "So, only 1 janaza of my dad will be placed at Hathazari Madrasa premises. Relating to his last wants, my father will get buried at Hathazari Madrasa graveyard."
He also sought blessings of the countrymen for his father. With respect to his family group, Anas Madani as well sought apology to the countrymen if his daddy had hurt anyone's thoughts during his lifetime.
Allama Shafi died at about 6:20pm on Fri while undergoing treatment at Asgar Ali Hospital, Gendaria in Dhaka. Afterwards, his body was taken to Faridabad Madrasa during the night. After keeping the body over there for many time, a convoy of countless ambulnces left Faridabad Madrasa in Dhaka for Hathazari Madrasa in Chattogram later at night.
