'Daily Sangram' editor served show-cause notice
The government has served a show-cause notice on the 'Daily Sangram' to explain why the declaration of the newspaper should not be cancelled from the media list.
Department of Films and Publications (DFP) issued the notice on Sunday.
In the notice, the authorities of the daily have been asked to give their explanation within three days.
On Saturday, Daily Sangram editor Abu Asad was shown arrested in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.
The case was filed against him for publishing a report terming convicted war criminal Abdul Qader Mollah, who was executed in 2013, a martyr.
Muktijuddho Mancho on December 13, burned the newspaper copies and vandalized the office.
