Cultural practice can keep youths on right track: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stressed on the practice of culture and sports to stay the young generation faraway from drug, terrorism and militancy.

She said this while inaugurating the month-long drama festival across the country through a videoconference from her official Ganabhaban residence within the capital on Wednesday (February 12).

Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation together with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has arranged the National Drama Festival 2020 with the participation of 400 drama groups across 64 districts of the country.

Practices of sports and games and culture are essential to bring children, juveniles and therefore the young generation to the proper path as nowadays drug, terrorism and militancy take a family and a society to ruination, she said.

“As very much like we’ll be ready to engage them within the sports, games and cultural practices, we’ll be ready to bring them to a right path thereto extent,” she said.

She said the character of a nation are often portrayed, presented or disseminated through the practices of a culture by all regardless of religion, cast and creed.
