CrypTokyo to showcase history of NFTs, digital art
CrypTokyo, which opens to the general public on June 26, will give Japan’s art lovers, tech heads, and investors a one-of-a-kind chance to understand the annals of NFTs (nonfungible tokens), go through the technology, and meet its future stars. This would be the first ever NFT gallery show in Japan making history in this new and booming culture of digital art.
CrypTOKYO is curated by the authorities at Blockchain Art Exchange (BAE) a respected NFT marketplace, in partnership GrowYourBase (GYB), an NFT Membership site, who are both accelerating the NFT revolution.
The exhibition will run for three weeks you need to include other dressing up event days with artist talks, NFT talks, and new NFT art to be unveiled. The multi-sensory exhibit features NFT art from a few of Japan’s perhaps most obviously artists as well as international icons with headlining artists: Yasumasa Yonehara, Tetsuzo Okubo, Ichi Hatano, Beeple, Robness Cyberpop, Botchy-Botchy. It tells the annals of NFTs from its simple beginnings as flashy GIFs, through the trash art and vapor wave movements, to the 3D and concept styles now sweeping the city.
Visitors will be able to view rare artwork, purchase sought-after pieces, and discover how to successfully build their NFT portfolios. Ultimately, the show aims to “bring it all home” helping visitors find multiple layers of utility in the artwork, and imagine it displayed in their own homes.
NFT technology has swept over the Western world and is now landing fast in the East. It frees artists from the energy brokers and corporations that dictate tastes, trends, and sales. Beyond form it connects fans and collectors directly with artists, by allowing individuals access to opportunities they would not need traditionally had usage of. Crypto Art and NFTs expand and democratize art in wholly new ways. CrypTOKYO exists at these crossroads of tech, art, culture, and finance.
