Court sentences man to death for killing wife
A Gazipur court on Sunday sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in 2015.
District and Sessions Judge Court Judge AKM Enamul Haque pronounced the verdict.
The condemned convict is Md Anisur Rahman, son of Ansar Ali of Dinajpur. The court also fined him Tk 10,000.
According to the case statement, Anisur was married to Mousumi Akhter. On August, 2015, Anisur hacked Mousumi to death with a machete at South Auchpara Balurmath Slum area.
The victim's cousin Toriqul Islam Rassel filed a murder case with the local Police Station.
