Club Wants To Sign Messi?
Despite Lionel Messi recently joining Paris Saint-Germain, it seems to have been confirmed that another club is chasing his signature after reports suggested that the ex-Barcelona captain has already held talks with them.
Inter Miami striker Gonzalo Higuain appears to have spilled the beans on his club's interest in the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Messi joined PSG on a two-year contract last month after 21 years on Barcelona's books, although there is an option for his stay in France to be extended by a further year should it be something both parties want.
In a recent interview, Messi's former Argentina colleague Higuain seemingly admitted that his MLS club, run by David Beckham, is interested in luring the 34-year-old to the US in the future.
"I don't want to get in trouble, I don't know about Leo in Miami," he told ESPN.
"He signed for two years with PSG.
"The club wants it, we'll see."
Previous reports have suggested that Beckham has already held discussions with Messi regarding a potential future transfer, with it being thought that the player would be open to taking his career to America.
In June, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas addressed the rumours, saying: "I am optimistic Messi will play in an Inter Miami shirt because I think it will complete the legacy of the greatest player in our generation and will meet with the ambitions of the owners of Inter Miami to build a world-class team.
"David and I have been working really hard, we have aspirations of bringing the best players here and Messi is a generational player, arguably the best player of all time."
