BTRC reopens mobile networks along borders
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission has withdrawn its previous order to shut down mobile networks within one kilometer along the borders with India.
BTRC, in this connection, has sent a letter to Grameenphone, Teletalk, Robi and Banglalink on Wednesday (January 1).
The four operators have begun their works to activate networks
BTRC’s Senior Assistant Director Zakir Hossain Khan confirmed this information.
BTRC issued the shutdown order on December 29, citing security reasons, an order estimated to affect around 10 million users.
Now it has retracted its decision at the end of the 3rd day.
