Blinken assures Jaishankar of US-India ties' importance
US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken possesses underscored India's role as a preeminent US partner in the Indo-Pacific and the value of working jointly to expand regional cooperation, including through the Quad band of countries (USA, India, Japan and Australia).
Secretary Blinken spoke on Friday with Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar to reaffirm the developing U.S.-India partnership, said Spokesperson at US Department of State Ned Selling price.
They discussed issues of mutual concern, including COVID-19 vaccination work, regional developments, and then steps in expanding bilateral ties.
Both agreed to coordinate closely on global developments and appearance forward to meeting in person at the initial opportunity.
