BlackBerry KEY2 LE press renders reveal a blue variant
BlackBerry has recently launched its flagship product the KEY2 which has a bunch of cool features (including the puny keyboard) but the high price has pulled a few buyers back. However, for BlackBerry admirers, the company is launching an affordable mid-range variant of the smartphone, to be called as KEY2 LE or KEY2 Lite.
While rumours of the upcoming smartphone have emerged several times before, what we got this time are the press renders of the KEY2 LE. The pictures reveal the clearer aesthetics of the smartphone in the blue colour variant which is not available in its expensive sibling.
As per the images acquired by Nieuwe Mobiel, the looks of the KEY2 LE closely resemble that of the KEY2, with slight differences though. The most prominent difference is the use of the amount of plastic on the body which is higher on the Lite version. Also, the overall panels look curvier. It is also highly likely that the metal frame could give way to plastic in order to add more shaded portions on the phone. Perhaps, the buyers of this segment will like it that way.
The screen of the smartphone will probably remain unchanged boasting of 4.5-inch size and possessing 1620 x 1080 pixel resolution. However, things get low in terms of the battery which will be a 3000mAh unit and the chipset will be scaled down to Snapdragon 636.
The official launch of the smartphone is not too far as it has been scheduled for August 30 in Berlin at IFA.
