bKash wins Best Brand Award 2019 from BBF
Bkash won the Best Brand Award 2019 at the 11th Best Brand Award 2019, organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum, held yesterday at Le Meridien Dhaka.

A total of 100 brands were recognised across 34 categories. In the overall top 15 brands, bKash won the status of the number one brand. RFL Plastic and Radhuni secured the second and third places in the overall best brands rank. This is the first time, four out of five brands in this list are home-grown brands.

The award-giving ceremony started with the welcome speech of Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Director, Bangladesh Brand Forum. She said, “Though we have stepped into an age of uncertainty and unpredictability where frequent changes will be the norm, for brands, it will be creating an era of adaptability, flexibility and purpose-driven, all wrapped around by human values and innovation. The brands will play a very crucial role in the future to shape our country and culture. They will be at the center of economic growth that we are aspiring for.”

The opening speech also featured words from Prasun Basu, President of Nielsen South Asia. Then, Sudeep Chatterjee, Managing Director of Nielsen Bangladesh gave a detailed speech to describe the methodology of Best Brand Award 2019.

BBF also marked its 11th year by honouring five brands who have performed consistently and made it to the overall top list in the decade long journey of the Best Brand Award. These brands are Parachute Advanced Hair Oil, Lux, Grameenphone, Sunsilk and Closeup.

An initiative of BBF, Best Brand Award 2019 has been organised in partnership with Nielsen Bangladesh and in association with The Daily Star.
