Biman to add 3 Bombardier Dash aircrafts to its fleet
Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to add three new Dash-8 aircrafts of Q400NG model to its fleet by mid June, 2020.
An agreement was signed between the national flag carrier airlines and Canadian aerospace and transportation company Bombardier Inc on Wednesday (August 1).
The deal signing function was held at the conference room of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, around 11am.
Civil aviation minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal, secretary Muhibul Huq and the Canadian High Commissioner, among others, were present.
Biman Managing Director Mosaddeq Hossain and Canadian Commercial Corporation Acting President Carl Marcotte signed the agreement.
Sources said Biman will receive the three Dash-8S by June 2020.
Canada government will deliver the aircrafts in line with G2G deal.
The three aircrafts would fly on local routes including Yangon and Kolkata. Each of the planes costs $33.4 million.
