Biden to make vice presidential pick in a few days
Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said Tuesday that he'll pick his functioning mate in a few days for the November election against President Donald Trump.

"I'm going to have a decision in the first week in August," Biden told reporters. "And I assurance, I'll let you know when I really do."

Biden, who provides pledged to put a female over the Democratic ticket, was asked whether he would be able to meet face-to-face along with his vice presidential pick as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

"We'll see," the 77-year-old ex - vice president said.

Biden joked that he'd have to make an effort to "trick" journalists camping outdoors his Wilmington residence to allow him to meet up discreetly with his choice before making an announcement.

Biden's short-list is thought to include California Senator Kamala Harris and Susan Rice, who served seeing that National Reliability Advisor under president Barack Obama, according to press reports.

Three other senators are also believed to be in mind - Tammy Duckworth of Illiniois, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin.

The web site Politico issued a graphic following Biden's remarks stating that he previously chosen Harris before issuing a correction and saying that it had been a mistake because of a "technical error."

The Democratic nominating convention is to commence on August 17 and Biden is likely to announce his choice before then.

Biden likewise criticized Trump's handling of the coronavirus outbreak, which includes left practically 150,000 persons dead in america, and the "Black Lives Matter" protests.

"He's proven that he can't defeat the pandemic and retain you secure," the Democratic applicant said. "He can't flip the market around and receive America back again to work.

The former vice president said Trump was using federal agents against protestors in a bid to scare voters.

The former vice president was also asked why he's running for the White Property.

"I'm performing because Trump is the president," he said. "And I believe our democracy reaches stake for real.
