The release day announcement came after Kartik asked in a social media post, "Meri koi release time announce nahi ho rahi kya (Are none of my release dates being announced)?" The hilarious content was a a reaction to the slate of movies being announced because of this year by almost all of the very best studios and manufacturers. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 can be a sequel to the 2007 horror comedy, that was directed by Priyadarshan.
