Berlin to take up to 100 kids from Greek refugee camps
The town of Berlin will take in 80 to 100 children from Greek refugee camps, the German capital's senator for interior affairs told broadcaster RTL on Tuesday.

European politicians are struggling to acknowledge how to proceed about thousands of migrants trying to enter EU-member Greece since Ankara said previous month it would no more keep them.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition parties said on Monday these were ready to ingest several hundred children from Greek camps as well as other EU countries. They stated they would target kids who were unwell or younger than 14 and unaccompanied.

Asked when the kids could get to the Berlin, interior affairs senator Andreas Geisel told the broadcaster: "It today depends on just how quickly the German govt implements this kind of decision. I believe it's more like today than tomorrow."

Turkey wants more European support for hosting some 3.6 million refugees from Syria which it decided to in 2016 in trade for vast amounts of euros in help under a cope with the EU to keep a good lid on migration to Europe.
