Berger launches side sanitiser as demand grows
Berger Paints Bangladesh features launched a hands sanitising solution "Mr Professional Advanced Hand Sanitiser" while demand for hand sanitiser and liquid soap has increased following coronavirus pandemic.
The Berger Mr Expert Advanced Palm Sanitiser - is a liquid-based product and will come in a 250ml pack at BDT 180.
"The World Wellness Organisation (WHO) recommended two alcohol-based sanitiser formulations to avoid the pass on of COVID-19. Berger Paints Bangladesh is usually commercially producing its side sanitisers following the WHO formulations," a news release of the company said on June 30.
The painting solution provider said in the absence of a vaccine or effective antiviral drugs, personal hygiene is a mainstay of efforts to avoid the virus spread.
Since hand washing isn't always practical when persons are out of their homes, alcohol-based hand sanitisers provide a quick and simple alternative.
The business said Berger side sanitisers are being produced as the business has received all of the necessary statutory approvals and permissions from the Department of Narcotics Control.
Berger said the COVID-19 pandemic is triggering massive disruption in daily life and every organisation like the government is wanting its better to tackle the outbreak.
"Hand sanitisers, as part of personal hygiene, have been playing a significant role in avoiding the pass on of the infection. And staying among the oldest and well known companies of the country, we believe it is our responsibility to contribute whenever you can during such a predicament," stated AKM Sadeque Nawaj, General Manager (Advertising), Berger Paints Bangladesh.
In the meantime, the business has recently distributed hand sanitising items among its dealers and painters to improve personal hygiene and safeness.
