Benzema 'Tells' Real Madrid His Decision
Karim Benzema has reportedly communicated the decision he has made over his future to Real Madrid following the big-money offer he received from Saudi Arabia.

Foot Mercato reports the 35-year-old has already informed the 14-time European champions of his desire to leave the club in the coming weeks.

After previously being close to an extension in Spain, a mammoth proposal from Saudi giants Al Ittihad seems to have tempted him to leave Real when his deal expires this month. The report claims that the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner is expected to agree to a two-year contract with the Saudi Pro League winners, who would pay him around €200 million (R4.2 billion) in that time period.

It is believed the possibility of Benzema parting ways with Los Blancos has caught the club off-guard after it seemed certain he would lead the line in the 2023/24 campaign.

This has led to suggestions the LaLiga giants will go searching for a new striker in the coming window, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane among their potential targets.
