Bangladeshi shot dead in South Africa
A young Bangladeshi expatriate was shot to death by miscreants at Tembisa in South Africa.
The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam Molla, 30, son of late Haji Nur Uddin Molla, hailed from Sannasirchar area under Shibchar upazila in Madaripur.
He succumbed to his injuries at a hospital Sunday (Jan 27) while he was undergoing treatment.
Masudur Rahman, brother of the deceased, said a gang of criminals intercepted the vehicle riding by Siraj on way his home from shop in Tembisa town Bangladesh time Friday (Jan 25). They tried to get Siraj out of the car. Facing obstruction, the criminals shoot him on his belly and leg, leaving him injured critically.
Later, the injured was sent to nearby hospital where he died.
Family members sought government help to get back the body of their dead one, said Sannasirchar UP chairman Akhtaruzzaman.
