Bangladesh to signal accords with Russia, China to receive vaccine

Bangladesh will probably indication agreements with Russia and China soon to import Covid vaccine, said Overall health Minister Zahid Maleque on Fri.
"We're exchanging letters with Russian and Chinese authorities worried. We're hopeful of receiving vaccine shortly," he explained while speaking at a foods distribution programme at Shuvra Center in Garpara spot under Manikganj Sadar upazila on Fri afternoon.
The meals items were distributed among 2,000 destitute families who have been damaged by coronavirus pandemic.
MEDICAL Minister said the government has imposed lockdown in the country. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic offers rattled the complete world. Many people have been facing great sufferings because of the lockdown, while various of these have lost their cash flow turning jobless. It is the responsibility of most to stand beside them. The government has also provided assistance to thousands of influenced people.
He said the government is performing tirelessly to make sure vaccinating all persons of the country.
"We're presenting highest priority to carry Covid vaccine. Some vaccines remain in inventory in the country. Bangladesh signed arrangement to import 3 crore doses of vaccine from Serum Institute of India. However they provided only 70 lakh vaccine dosages, while 30 lakh dosages received as gifts. Since that time Bangladesh hasn't received any vaccine from India. Due to this fact, the first dose of vaccination features been suspended," he explained.
With Manikganj deputy commissioner SM Ferdous in the chair, the meals distribution programme was also addressed by Law enforcement Super Rifat Rahman, District Council chairman Golam Mohiuddin, District Awami Little league general secretary Abdus Salam, District Awami Group vice-president Abdul Mazid, Manikganj Pourasava mayor Ramzan Ali and Sadar Upazila Awami Group general secretary Afsar Uddin Sarker, amongst others.
