Bangladesh seeks better connectivity with Bhutan: FM
Foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said the government is seeking to establish better connectivity with Bhutan.

Besides, Dr AK Abdul Momen said, we put forward a proposal to import electricity from Bhutan.

After calling on Bhutanese Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering at Hotel Intercontinental, Momen briefed newsmen on Friday (April 12).

“Bhutan is a landlocked country. They will be benefited most if they extend connectivity with Bangladesh,” Momen said.

Momen urged Bhutan to take initiative for intensifying the BBIN initiative in more effective way to get trade benefit from the region.

He said Bhutan wants to take physicians from Bangladesh. We said Bangladeshi physicians can go to Bhutan under special package provided that they pay handsome salary.
