Bangladesh FM mourns coronavirus deaths in China
Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Tuesday (Feb 11) expressed deep condolences at the increased loss of lives because of the outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan city and other places in China.
He expressed his sincere sympathy to the groups of the victims.
In a message written to State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China, Dr Momen extended his sincere appreciation to the Chinese government for the effective measures taken up to address the fatality of the outbreak of coronavirus.
He said, "I firmly assume that your government will soon prevail over the problem and be able to stop further aggravation of the problem."
The foreign minister expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chinese government when planning on taking well care of the Bangladeshi students studying in the several universities there.
He also mentioned that the cooperation of the Chinese government in evacuating 312 Bangladeshi students from Wuhan by chartered flight has been widely appreciated in Bangladesh.
Dr Momen assured that Bangladesh has been the friendly persons and the federal government of China to handle the crisis.

He also shared the readiness of the government of Bangladesh to increase any help mitigate the plight of the victims.
The death toll in the coronavirus outbreak in China has reached a lot more than 1,000, after 108 persons died from the virus on Monday, the best daily toll since the outbreak began late this past year in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.
The total number of deaths on the mainland was 1,016, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday.
There were 2,478 new confirmed cases, bringing the full total number of these infected to 42,638. Almost all deaths and infections are in Wuhan and the encompassing Hubei province.
