Bangladesh closes border with India for two weeks
The government has decided to close the border with India for two weeks as the Covid-19 situation deteriorates.

Your choice has been taken at the best level of the federal government on Sunday. 

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said the border with India will be closed for 14 days from April 26 (Monday). 

He, however, said the transportation of goods through India-Bangladesh borders will continue.

India on Sunday (April 25) recorded 3,49,391 new Covid-19 cases and 2,767 deaths within the last 24 hours. In line with the Union Health Ministry, five states - Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Kerala - contribute 54 % of the cases.
