Bangladesh, China discuss Covid-19 vaccine assistance: Ambassador
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming on the subject of Friday said China is currently in close discussion with Bangladesh over coronavirus vaccine assistance.
"China just announced to supply 10 million Covid-19 vaccines to developing countries through the COVAX initiative," said the ambassador in a video communication marking the Chinese New Year.
Bangladesh government introduced the countrywide vaccination marketing campaign on February 7.
Five million doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, procured from the Serum Institute of India, arrived last month. India as well gifted two million doses of the vaccine.
