Facts Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Fri said Bangladesh would get coronavirus vaccine from India with time.

"There is no cause to be concerned about the coronavirus vaccine. According to the arrangement, the vaccine will come from India in time," he informed reporters on Rangpur Circuit House premises in Rangpur, studies BSS.

Hasan, also the Awami League joint general secretary, explained Serum Institute of India has recently issued a statement on the confusion developed over the COVID-19 vaccine.

Simultaneously, he said, the Indian Health Secretary confirmed that Bangladesh would get the vaccine with time according to the agreement.

The info minister said the Indian Ambassador to Bangladesh also confirmed that Bangladesh would receive COVID-19 vaccine in time.

Citing a Bloomberg survey, he said Bangladesh's position in addressing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is the foremost in the subcontinent beneath leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Hasan said those, who are spreading rumours more than COVID-19 vaccine, had spread various rumours against Bangladesh previously.

After coronavirus was reported in Bangladesh, 25 % predicted that there will be dead bodies on streets and there will be a famine etc, he said, adding: "But by the grace of Allah, the persons of Bangladesh are well."

Giving an answer to a question about independence of the press, the information minister said media delight in optimum flexibility in Bangladesh, while mass media don't get such freedom in lots of developed countries.

Later, Hasan visited the Rangpur sub-station of Bangladesh Tv set and the Rangpur Center of Bangladesh Betar. During his go to, he exchanged views with the officials concerned on the functions and future ideas of both centres.
