Arjun's'Battle of Bhima Koregaon'
The ArjunRampal-starrer 'Battle of BhimaKoregaon' has run into the murky waters, as ArunShinde, the former associate director and author of the film, is battling for his due credit and payment for the services rendered on the project.The screenwriter claims he has been unfairly trashed of the film after differences between him and the imaginative director AshuTrikha erupted.
Shinde, who is a vegetable vendor's son and an outsider in the market, has now filed a complaint with Screenwriters Association (SWA) against the producer of the film.Regarding to Shinde, the film's maker and IAS officer Ramesh Thete 1st approached him to re-work on a vintage script in November this past year.
As Shinde done several drafts, he claims an contract stating him as the associate director and article writer was signed between him and the maker. "When I asked the maker to provide me a backup of the arrangement, he built excuses, and he provides yet not handed over the said arrangement for the film," he says.
Shinde continues on to reveal that for the next 8 weeks he was made to rework about the script several times on the insistence of Rampal, with whom he previously had several meetings in the latter's Bandra business office.
Following the script was finally locked, the actor roped in Trikha, his friend and director of his initially film 'Deewanapan', as the creative director of the project."Ashu did not want me found in the film. He wanted to be the article writer and director of the film, so he commenced insulting me to lower my morale," reveals Shinde who provides since plunged into depression.
