Archeological play 'Mahasthan' at Mahasthangarh
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is going to stage two shows of its archeological play 'Mahasthan' (The Great Land) today and tomorrow at the Bhasu Bihar archaeological site of Mahasthangarh in Bogra district.

Based on the political, cultural and social history-tradition of two and a half thousand years, BSA has taken an initiative to bring this archeological production on stage with the participation of 350 artistes.

After the rehearsal of six months, the technical show of the play staged on April 28 this year on BSA premises. Written by Dr Selim Mozahar, Liaquat Ali Lucky has planned and directed the play.

Cultural Affairs Ministry secretary Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed will inaugurate the opening show, while literateur professor Hasan Azizul Huq will attend the show as the chief guest.

Presided over by BSA director general Liaquat Ali Lucky, noted thespian Ataur Rahman, theatre personality Abdus Selim, director general of the Archaeological Department Altaf Hossain and superintendent of police of Bogra Md Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan will be present as special guest.
