Apu Biswas gets Alokito Nari Award
Popular film actress Apu Biswas got 'Alokito Nari' Award given by Alokito Nari Kollyan Foundation on Saturday night at a club in the capital's Gulshan area.

As a woman, after receiving the award Apu Biswas shared her feelings by this way, "I am really excited. Thanks to Alokito Nari Kollyan Foundation to honor me. As a female, when I started acting I always tried to wear Bengali outfits. It is true that I continued my conjugal family life with Shakib Khan secretly for nine years. After giving birth a baby boy, I did not disclose it.

Later I courageously disclosed the matter to all. I always say that in every path women should cross their hurdles without any fear. Many persons believe that after marriage popularity of a heroine decreases. It is wrong because Moushumi Apu is our best example in this regard. I want to work for the Foundation in the long run who honored me in this function."

Meanwhile, Apu Biswas is passing busy times with stage shows now. She has already finished shooting of Debashish Biswas-directed movie 'Shwashurbari Jindabad-2'. Bappy Chowdhury worked against her in this film. In 2005, Apu debuted her career in acting through late Amzad Hossain's movie 'Kal Sokale' where she acted with Shabnur and Ferdous.

Then she acted against Shakib Khan in FI Manik's 'Koti Takar Kabin'. She played her dream role Parvati in late Chashi Nazrul Islam's 'Devdas' movie.
