Ananta Jalil keeps his word
Ananta Jalil officially handed out appointment letters to three visually impaired students on Saturday, at an event held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation. Ananta's wife and actor, Afiea Nusrat Barsha, and Chairman of Debate for Democracy, Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron, were also present at the event.
In April of this year, Ananta was a special guest at a debate competition for visually impaired children, titled 'Juktir Alo Dekhi.' At the event, Ananta made the announcement that he will provide jobs for five visually impaired students in his own organization. As part of realizing that promise the event was held on Saturday.
The students who received appointment letters are currently studying at Eden Girl's College, and they are political science students Parveen Akhter and Ripa Tabassum, and Social Science student Parul Begum. The students have been appointed jobs at one of the many garments organizations owned by Ananta.
Ananta said at Saturday's event that there was a delay in appointments looking to find suitable jobs for the students. He also said at the event: "I promised jobs for five visually impaired students. To that end, I have been creating suitable job positions for them. I have appointed three people this time. I will definitely arrange jobs for some more visually impaired students in my organization very soon."
Aside from running several businesses, Ananta is currently busy making his new film ‘Din: The Day.’ The film is being co-produced by one of the leading production houses of Iran, Farabi Cinema Foundation, and is being directed by Morteza Atashzamzam.
