Akshay addresses speculation about starring in 'Dhoom 4'
Akshay Kumar has finally addressed rumours about him possibly starring alongside Salman Khan in the highly anticipated film 'Dhoom 4'. Those waiting to start to see the star zooming on-screen in the hit film franchise might have to wait a tad longer as the actor has dismissed claims of starring in the film.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Akki was asked if there is any truth to the viral social media rumour. "As for the Dhoom 4 speculation, I have two words for you personally, FAKE NEWS," he said.
The buzz about the actor being truly a section of the fourth instalment of the franchise became popular whenever a viral tweet claimed that the actor was "almost confirmed" for the role.
However, at that time, neither did the actor, nor the production house touch upon the same. As far as the viral post was concerned, it was proven that it was only a fan-made poster.
Meanwhile, other reports doing the rounds claimed that Deepika Padukone is being tapped to play the villain in the film. The actress was reported to be keen to play the part but had a need to get her dates sorted before she could sign the dotted line. The actress currently has 5 films in her kitty, including her ambitious home production 'Draupadi'.
'Dhoom 3' featured Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra in lead roles.
