ACC summons 7 over ties to Panama, Paradise Papers
DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned seven people for questioning over their connection with the Panama Paper and Paradise Paper leaks.
ACC sent separate notices to the people concerned asking them to appear at its office on specific dates.
ACC Deputy Director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Sunday noon (July 8).
He said the seven businessmen including one foreigner were asked to appear at ACC’s Shegun Bagicha office on July 16, 17.
Four people, whose names appeared in the Panama Papers, are- United Group’s Hasan Mahmood Raja, Khondker Moinul Ahsan, Ahmed Ismail Hossain and Akhtar Mahmud.
Three others, summoned over the Paradise Papers, are WMV Ltd’s Erik Johan Anders Wilson, Intrepid Group’s Farhan Aqebur Rahman and Selcon Shipping Company’s Mahtaba Rahman.
