5 allowed for frequent prayer, 10 designed for Jummah at mosque
The federal government has urged people to provide their daily prayers at homes rather than mosques to help support the spread of coronavirus disease.
The Ministry of Spiritual Affairs called for keeping limited the participation of the devotees in Jummah at 10 and five-time regular prayers at 5.
The Ministry of Spiritual Affairs has issued an emergency notice on Monday (April 6) in this regard.
Only 5 folks including imam, muazzin, khatib, khadim may offer daily prayers at mosques while 5 more can join Jummah prayer, the ministry added.
The ministry also asked other religious believers not to congregate at any spot to perform religious rituals rather these were asked to state prayers at home.
Earlier on Saturday, the Islamic Base urged almost all Muslims to state prayers on the night of the holy Shab-e-Barat at their respective homes found in the wake of novel coronavirus outbreak.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh has up to now verified 12 deaths from coronavirus disease.
Besides, 35 more persons have tested great, raising the total number of coronavirus conditions in Bangladesh to 123, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Analysis (IEDCR) said on Monday.
