47 Independent TV staff complete quarantine
Forty-seven employees of Independent TV, who had been in isolation, completed the quarantined period and are now ready to make contact with work.
They were sent to home-quarantine on April 3 after among their colleagues tested positive for coronavirus.
Besides, the journalist who was simply diagnosed with COVID-19 can be doing well.
"Very happy to inform you that the 47 co-workers of Independent TV, who was simply in isolation, completed the quarantined period on April 9, 2020. All of them are in sound health and are not showing any symptom of COVID-19,” its CEO and Editor-in-Chief M Shamsur Rahman explained in a message.
According to IEDCR, the staff can resume office.
“But to be in the safer side, we've decided to await another few days before asking them to rejoin workplace,” he said.
In the meantime, he said their colleague, who's infected with coronavirus, is still in institutional quarantine.
“He doesn't have fever anymore or sore throat. He simply has a mild dried out cough. We all have been praying for his speedy recovery.”
