34 families evicted from Ctg hill
The district administration evicted 34 families living in risky Madhu Shah Hill which is adjacent to Jalalabad residential area of the city.
Several illegal structures, established after grabbing ownership of Madhu Shah Hill, were also demolished.
Families were living there at risk of their lives.
Assistant commissioner (land) of Patenga Circle Tahmilur Rahman, assistant commissioner of (Land) Chandgaon circle Forkan Elahi Anupam, assistant commissioner (land) of Bakalia Circle (Land) Sabrina Afreen Mustafa and Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Kattali Circle Towhidul Islam led the eviction drive on Sunday (July 7).
“34 families were evicted as per the decision of the hill management committee. After the eviction of the illegal occupants, the land was given to the concerned owners,” Md. Towhidul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Kattali Circle told media.
