3 missing as cargo vessel capsizes in Sundarbans
Three security guards went missing after a fertilizer-laden cargo vessel capsized in the Pashur River of Sundarbans during a sudden storm.
The incident happened at Chandpai range of the Sundarbans around 8:00 pm on Tuesday night (April 9).
The cargo vessel ‘MV Haradda’ loaded with TSP fertilizer sank in Harbaria area in Chandpai range of the Sundarbans around 8:00 pm, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Eastern Sundarbans Division Mahmudul Hasan told Banglanews.
Though five men of the cargo vessel managed to swim ashore but three security guards are still missing, Mahmudul Hasan added.
